It is a short story book that has characters from all walks of life, many of them, we may even have come across. A boy who is amputee, highs and lows of friendship, a guy who leaves home and join eunuchs, a home-maker suffering from domestic violence, travel restrictions during covid-19, life and struggle of someone in prostitution, an insane doctor, mother-son relationship and so on. The pandemic (Covid-19) has taken numerous lives but have you ever heard of giving a life to someone? Love is blind, but what’s the maximum extent, is it Prostitution? Do you want to be a Doctor, Scientist, Businessman but do you want to be a member of the eunuch homes? “Hope” is the only intangible asset which never lets you down. Old age parental care is tough but it leads to murder, find out how? Kindness always pays in the long run, but Beware it can be hazardous sometimes. ‘Rape’ is the only word which horrifies, but what if the protagonist was a child? Love bites are never the omen of love. Are you keen to read more about these dynamics? Find out for yourself!

My Takeaway

The Untold Tales: Love and Other Demons is a collection of beautiful stories which sprout from love but the fruits didn’t bear a happy ending. The author has pulled pain and agony wrapped in love and wrote some amazing stories. The stories which are unheard or they never crossed the four wall. The thirteen stories of sacrifice, love, hatred, agony lead to disloyalty, kindness, and being on another land.

The book kicks start with the story of a mother-son relationship. The story is blended with sacrifice as a mother and how the son took care of her to the ultimate peace. The very first story blew my mind, the author has pointed out all the emotions which are there in one house. A love of a mother, an agony of a son, and above all how the author has pulled off conditions we are forced to live with.

Whereas story like Love in Prostitution has given us insight into how a man is forced to look down upon his own life and the man only think of money, neglecting all human emotions he shares with others.

Talking about the book cover, it is beautiful and is reflecting what resides in the book. A forest where green leaves are lesser and slowly those green leaves turn dry and at last, they fell off the tree. The title also goes with the stories, love is what we all are connected with and demons are what circumstances make us behave.

I really enjoy the writing tone of the book, easy and crisp. The author has himself written in the acknowledgment that it took four years to write the stories and the readers would know once they read the book.

I would like to recommend the book to those who like reading short stories and also those who want to read something other than their preferred genre. The book is amazing and required a little bit of formatting.

I would love to rate this book 3.8/5 stars.

Inspired by Hindu philosophy and various scriptures of the world, Author Abhishek Vipul Thakkar has brought out the second volume of Vitamin H which aims to render solace, divine bliss and unfettered joy to it's readers. It beckons the reader to reckon upon the chunks and slices of wisdom literature embedded in the book and transform their mundane lives into extraordinary lives. It is not only a self- help or a self- improvement book but also a book that offers the path of self-discovery as well as the bliss that is spawned be self- realization.

My takeaway

'When you treasure what you have, you are already rich', I read this qoute somewhere and it kinda struck me and this book. Having read Vitamin H volume 2 straight I am in a state of wondering what valuable asset the previous book could be. The entire volume of Vitamin H is split into how one can make 365 days of our life better.
Volume 2 begin with Day 112 with a powerful punch to strive and elevate your life to its zenith. One should not be afraid to reach his goal and we should not listen to those who dont belive in our dreams like ours. The book is packed with so many qoutes and how we can at least try to implement in our lives. It has some amazing guide to our lives, dreams, love, money, fear, society, words and what not. Each day gives you something fruitful to add in your routine.

I really like the most positive version of 'Good things take time' to the one author has penned down 'Good things happen to those people who strongly believe that good things will happen to them.' In this fast paced world, where the same world is still dealing with pandemic, job loss, health issues and above all mental health issues; such lines would be great help to cope up such gloomy days.

There's another great qoute on Day 203 which gives a message on problem solving without therapy. Indeed an amazing attempt by the author to grab so fascinating ideas into one book. I thoroughly enjoyed every single day and have ticked few for myself.

'Create your own inner reality. Design your own inner world.' How often we forgot there's another self inside us waiting to get explored or better say we call carry a universe within only few know how to port there.

The volume 2 ends on Day 263 which will leave it's readers waiting to know what's restore in remaining days. The book can be read and understood by anyone because life is an ongoing journey with unknown destinations. The book is recommended to everyone who wants to make best of 365 days. Eagerly waiting for Volume 3 and best wishes to the author.
