We’re all a little broken, and that’s okay.
Or is it? Rick has a medical condition that makes his life different from the rest. But unlike others around him, he sees this not as a curse, but as an opportunity to cherish life and all the bitter-sweet gifts it brings with it.

Amidst frequent visits to the doctor, multiple surgeries that risk his life being, and a life that meant surveillance all the time, Rick has to fight for himself each day. But he pulls through, thanks to his family and friend Jacob, who become his pillars of strength.

And then, at a time when he is least expecting it, and with someone he meets by accident – love happens. It’s a new feeling for his heart and he is scared to lose it.

Will Lisa really understand the goodness of his heart or just walk away?

Inside the Heart of Hope is a story of strong will, perseverance and optimism which will make you wonder if sky is really the limit.

                                                       My Review

Risbhabh Puri’s Inside the Heart of hope is a story of wretched heart to breathe and envy to belong to someone. Story is warm and simple tale of Rick and reverberating life which keeps him between the devil and the deeps. Story will not gain your attention in initials chapters but slowly you proceed you will find it decent.

Rick was patient of hyperlipidemia, was struggling hard to lead a normal life but again his health collapse and he landed up on hospital bed. Operation after another but his life was not getting pace instead a constant fuss was around him. Rick was a strong character who keeps fighting odds till he shows his worth to everyone. After tons of hardship Rick finally found peace in his life.

Story reflects how dreary life becomes of a diseased person. We might be caring towards them but if it comes to spending all our lives with them we became apprehensive. Are they indifferent from us? NO! It’s just, hoping a future and growing grey hair together looks far fetched dream. Rick faced such fears more than his nightmares but in last chapter book took an adroit twist.

Language of the book was just fine, author could have worked more on language and things could have been worked in better way. Book was monotonous at some places while few chapters will make readers hooked to their seat. When I started reading I wasn’t convince but later pace of the book build up and readers would enjoy. But wasn’t guessing which will make readers to complete in a single sitting. Book title and cover justified but somewhere I felt they reflect the story, well I was able to comprehend without reading story or blurb.

Characters were written neatly whereas few chapters could be skipped with a stronger plot. I loved the portion how a teenage relationship ended, it was relatable; a human nature. Another I loved how Rick helped his dad with work, being diseased doesn’t mean you gotta become a couch potato but you do more productive work. Later I enjoyed reading part of Rick and Lisa, a heartwarming tale of love.

In spite of loop holes book managed to entertain me, I would rate it 2.7/5 stars. I hope to read further from the author. Keep the good work up.
