My Review

Some books are so good that I really want refrain myself for putting the basic details of the book at first and all I want to do is to go ahead and shout out why you should pick the book.  After reading Legends over Generations my dirge desire is to put forward all the reasons why you should pick this book and start reading to know what has actually happened across the years and how the things are still being developed.

So, lemme get straight with cover of the book which damn attractive, being an avid reader and after developing the habit of reading without feeling and sticking to one genre I feel so humble to tell you that I really loved the book from just the sight of it. The cover has so many prominent and virtuous leaders around the globe and it says all. The blurb was even very compelling that you just cannot stop yourselves for falling into a pool of knowledge, facts and integration of the global leaders over generations and their motives and ideology for a better and prosperous world. Once you start reading the book, you will enjoy and will learn how much efforts were manifested by the author to give us a book which is no less an encyclopedia of leaders who had have knit the world together. Book caters not only politicians or great thinkers but also he has tried to cover all the areas to make a book a complete package of knowledge and visionary human intellects.

Coming to the narrative style of the book was amazing, the initials was more like the author is communication with readers directly. For those who like to read about history of mankind, the legends of mankind and the stories of their will to change and gift something to the world, mark my word I said gift not give; then you must read this book. The pace of the book was fast, for slow readers they can actually complete it reading section wise. The book has proved to be way more informative than I had thought. I am glad that I read this. Finally, I would love rate it 4/5 star.

A New Dawn by Kamini Kusum

                                                            Synopsis

Shravan is a son of a rickshaw puller and Mugdha, daughter of a Railway officer. He has lived in penury while she has had all the material comforts. He dreams of being a soldier and serving the motherland while she lives in the world of colours. Childhood friendship converts into pure love ignoring the boundaries of a bungalow and its servant quarter. However fate has some other plans and tears apart the two innocent souls, throwing Shravan into a life that has thorns all its way. Will the two live their dreams? Will destiny bring them together again? A novel that will make us believe that life is all about never giving up.

                                                           My Review

A New Dawn by Kamini Kusum is a heart wrecking, extremely emotionally driven and jovial story of Indian society drama where a girl from an affluent family falls for a poor boy. Will their love will find ways to meet the diversion between two different strata of the society, to find out more I would recommend to you grab your copies soon.
Story begins with childhood scene like we happen to see in movies which talks about a rich girl falling for a poor boy, how they met and became friends and later in their lives they realize that they were in love with each other right from the childhood but then they face same hurdle to meet their fate.

Mughda, the female protagonist who is a daughter of a higher ranked railway officer happen to meet Sharvan who is a son of a rickshaw puller, when they(Sharvan’s family) started living in the outcast of their quarter and with time their friendship grew deeper. The kids were having gala time together but later Mugdha’s father got transfer to another city, eventually they got separated. For Shavan’s, his life was no more normal, he and his family constant faced upheavals from the society and due to poverty but he didn’t let his studies hamper his dreams. Will they meet when they will grow up? Will strict father of Mugdha will accept them? Told you to read the book.

The best part of the book was the portion where poverty was described by the author. I really enjoyed the segment. But then, having read the previous work by the author this book has disappointed me a lot. I expected a story which would beat the previous book but no. The story was simple and at some points the it felt it was bit stretched. Another reason for not enjoying the book was the font size, I would like to request the publishers to increase the font size, it really pained to read small fonts. Talking about the language, it was way too simple; I expected much. The storyline was so same almost matches with the Bollywood movies that the portion of my heart longed for something magical, again I was disappointed.
For me I really enjoyed the portion when the author launched a new character, Jhanvi. The character building of this particular person was so elegantly put together that I was hell bent to read her portion. Somewhere the other characters were bit superficial but then she(Jhanvi) took my heart.

But the book will be useful to those who like reading romantic books and wanted to go for a light read. Overall, the book was decent I would rate 3/5 star for the simple yet beautiful book.

The Wild Cat by Taanya Sarma

Published Year- 2017
Published by- Invincible Publishers
Pages- 282
Genre- Fiction
Format- Paperback/Kindle

Synopsis

Based on true events, this erotic thriller novel tells the tale of a young, naive woman named Tanya who enters the online dating and chat world. Her first foray into this digital realm initially proves to be bland and disappointing; however, sex, suspense, power struggles and attempted murder soon unfold. These unwelcome adventures interfere with her business and her sanity as she aspires to live up to her deceased parent’s standards.

A conman named Sam ensnares Aaron, a handsome investment banker, into his ploy and uses him as a pawn to lure women into doing things they normally wouldn’t do. Sam then exposes their personal information as well as their images, sometimes in the act of cyber sex, and posts them on a very successful porn website that he owns. Tanya’s encounter with these two men evolves into a long, winding road, with each turn bringing irreparable changes in her life.

Enraged by the deceit and the unconscionable behavior of these men, Tanya turns whistleblower and vows to assist the FBI in shutting down the dating app and porn site - and she won’t stop until the perverted perpetrators are behind bars. She never relents, but ultimately laments, “I never thought that I would have to give up my life to remain alive.”

My Review

How many of you actually taken pain to read the TERMS AND CONDITIONS of any account you create online? How many of you take efforts to know the person who is sitting on other side of the screen? Or how many of you wondered that you might be watched by someone who is creator of that site? The first one is knocked out completely we all know why? Because we never actually read them, coming to the second question we do know the person because we both have been talking over months but who guarantees about his/her real identity. Now, let’s move to last question, we barely worry about the tracker because we have psychologically developed a fact that if millions of people are using it, then we are also at lower chances of risk.

But now, take a deep breath and think if virtual media destroys your mind and personal life. In the story, The Wild Cat we follow a girl named, Tanya who has recently come up with grief of losing her father but then as soon as she got acquainted with online dating app her world collapsed.

Tanaya who has nothing to loose in her life, falls into the trap of virtual world. Book follows her life,  the consequences of such virtual world and how difficult is to get back the old peace and mutual trust. Everything was fine when she started using the app but sooner she came to know about the dark world behind the screen.
The title and the cover is very well put together, nowhere I found them going astray with the story. If one reads the blurb, reader will surely understand that book also cater all different genre that is erotic thriller. The idea was very well put again, we became comfortable with the person who is miles away and we starts sharing our personal details just because meeting that person in real life is very low but what if he returns as a nightmare.

Over all plot was gripping but somewhere writing the erotic portion would have been written more elegant way instead of using straightforward words. Book was quick and one time read. I would rate the book 3/5 star, hope the instalments would be better and decent.

                   Chanakya Neeti by Chanakya

Published Year- new edition, 2018
Published by- Grapevine India
Pages-266
Genre- business/non-fiction
Format- Paperback/Kindle

                                                          Synopsis

Chanakya was known by names like Kautilya and Vishnugupta and played multiple roles of being a teacher, philosopher, economist, jurist and royal advisor. Arthashastra and Chanakya Neeti were the two important books written by him. Chanakya Neeti is a collection of aphorisms, said to be selected by Chanakya from the various Shastras. The topics discussed are morality, ethics, governance and several others. Chanakya is regarded as a great thinker and diplomat in India. Many Indian nationalists regard him as one of the earliest thinkers who dreamt of a united India, spanning the entire subcontinent.

                                                           My Review

About Chanakya: Chanakya was born in 4th century BC was an Indian teacher, philosopher, economist, jurist and royal adviser. He is also known as Kautilya or Vishnugupta. He is considered to be the most prominent person who laid the foundation of economics and management during the ear of Gupta Empire. The principles given by him not only helped the kingdom but has been proved as a treasure upon which present day management is laid upon. His famous works are Arthashartra and Chanayka Neeti.

World for me was totally different few years ago as I was a science student and changing trade after 12th was heck tiring. But something caught my attention and I am thankful to my Professor who suggested me to pick Chanakya Neeti to have a better understanding of the economy.

While going through the book I realized how visionary Chanakya was back then. He developed principles which not only benefited the king and the people but it helped to shape the entire trade and commerce. His works talked about the people living during that era, how the trade and commerce was put into use so as to regulate money in the market.

Chanakya Neeti was actually the principles. Principles which is not limited to commerce and economy but there are concepts which hold much broader importance in one’s life, be it a teacher, a parent, a son or soul. Each element present of the earth, which is related to human in any way, has been described by him.

Chanakya always believed if one has to achieve all the set objectives in his life then it’s essential for him to follow these principles because they together served a prudent definition of a better human being who is capable for reaching the summit.

This book contains all principles along with explanations and special notes by Chankaya. The book can be completed in one sting and is very gripping.

This is a must read book for a commerce student but I would also recommend t to everyone because following these principles would definitely make you a better man and you would not loose n any phase of life.

Grapevine India has done a fantastic job while compiling this book, the way they put the things together has actually make me love this more. A great page turner.

The Last  Chai by Varun Rejwani

Published Year: 2017
Publication: Amazon Publishing
Pages: 250
Genre: Fiction/Thriller
Format: Paperback/Kindle

Synopsis

The year is 2019. The world, as we know today, is not the same anymore.

Blatant threats of war by ‘world leaders’ is the new normal. Gone are the days when mobilizing armies at borders, or aiming missiles at adversaries, was a rare phenomenon.

With every nation or their allies possessing nuclear weapons, victory through conventional means is no longer possible, paving way for covert warfare to emerge as the preferred weapon.

New Delhi is an easy target and Doshi, the unassailable supremo of the regime, is on the ‘hit list’. The threat assessment being at an all time high, Ajay Kaamte, the director of SPG (Special Protection Group), is tasked with protecting the PM.

Intelligence claims that the PM is susceptible to cyanide attacks and situation is grim, to say the least.

Will Doshiji survive to serve another term or will he very soon be having his last chai?

My Review

The Last Chai, is centred on a society which is under the influence of totalitarianism. Author has picked an intense topic to write about which exclusively revolves around our political status of our country. On the other hand, a parallel story runs in which the country is under severe threat of terrorism.  Book deeply states about how the political leaders behave and run the country and how their decisions influence the tension on the borderline.
The book contains various frivolous moments such as the way Author has named it’s each character based on existing leaders of the country.

Coming to the title of the story which is really interesting and the cover will surely add more curiosity to pick this book. The narration of the book is fast paced and can be done in one sitting.
The language was surreal but it can be improved in the coming books by the author. Intense research by the author is a positive point about this book.

But somewhere I felt some strings were loose about the book but I would readers to skip it.

Overall I would rate the book 3/5 stars. A good read, indeed.

Estenzic Love: Book 1 of Estenzic Series by Hashitaa Paraswani

Synopsis

One mystery leads to another as Scarlet sets out on a journey to explore her own origins. If she doesn't know what she's searching for, Will she be able to discover it ever?

My Review

At the end of every year I make my books under a review check and place them into their right places, which is actually a categorization of books. Estenzic Love by Harshitaa Paraswani has made into *Entertaining Book* list of 2018. Estenzic Love has actually pulled me into my favourite genre which I'm always occupied with, the fantasy fiction.

I remember I was just through with four chapters and I could feel myself that book is shaping into some Harry Potter plot or Sarah J Mass but later I realize the book talks about a different species of human. A human would be a wrong word because Estenzians totally belong to different zones and embellished with unusual powers in them. Though, some characteristics spook me too.

Scarlet, was a teen girl but had a very doldrum past. She lost her parents in her growing years, later she was sent to live with her aunt and then she walked to a school and it turns out to be a turning point of her life.

The book is really fast paced and comprehensible. Language of the book was decent but I somewhere felt it could have been better. As I mentioned fast paced which means you could actually finish it within an hour and would not repent after closing it. Book has various characters which will engross it's readers whereas some editing errors would disappoint them, very rarely.

Talking about the title which is the most appropriate part of the book. Coming to the cover page, damn! I really loved it. It actually gives me touch that I'm holding some Western author book in my hand.

As the book ends you'll realize that the story will continue, so you have to wait for next instalments. Overall I truly love this book and I'll surely reread it in future. I would love to rate 3.5 /5 stars.

Letters in the Rain by

Published Year:2017Publication: Rumours Books IndiaPages: 201Genre: FictionFormat: Paperback/Kindle

                   Synopsis

Quite early in his life, Aman had been labelled a 'weirdo'. His side-parted, oil soaked hair and gawky physique made him the butt of jokes among his peers. There is nothing spectacular in his life—he studies all day, has never had an interaction with a girl that lasted more than five minutes, and scribbles his inner musings into his best friend, a personal diary.

Deep down, however, the guilt of being considered a social killjoy by the society starts to have a negative impact on him.

When forced out of his solitary shell into the action-infused warehouse that is 'college', Aman's life takes a drastic U-Turn. Owing to a Chemistry project, he is forced to partner up with Kiara—a cheerful, carefree soul who tucks away her dark, brooding past upon arriving in Manipal.

What follows is a series of awkward encounters and quirky adventures; ones that throw them in the deep end and make them face their worst fears.

                                                                 My Review

Very rare books are written which will guide you and help you to identify yourself. I'm kinda lucky to be provided this book for a review purpose and I'm glad that I didn't finish it in a single sitting but invested days in it. Letters in the Rain is so far the most beautiful book I have read by an Indian author. I'm always prejudiced when I'm given a romantic read because there are very few books which left me content and extraordinarily happy, I'm glad this book gives me immense pleasure.

Aman, a weirdo and asocial person who never have had a friend in his life expect his textbooks and a diary. He sailed smoothly every academics but something in him was injecting pain in him. It was his parents wish that he may have some friends and have his share of fun but he couldn't understand it why.
But sooner everything changed in his life as Kiara walked into his life. Jovial Kiara soon became live wire of his monotonous lifestyle but as we know everything is short-lived, so does their friendship.
Over the years both developed their potentials and everything was left in the hands of God.

While penning down this review, I remember I started recreating their story in between. Impact of the book may be. :) Every character is beautifully weaved and placed into the plot. Language was something which was very pleasing to read. The best part of the book was poetries which helped the book to justify its title, the story and the theme.
Adding the touch of poetry in prose has become common these days but if you personally ask me I would say that only Anubhav and Ananya can justify it. The only thing which troubled me about the book was it's cover and font size. Else this book is magical and will truly leave its readers spellbound.

I would love to rate it 4/5 stars. I'm telling you if you enjoy Indian authors and aficionado of romance read then do read this book.
